Came here to say just that. There is already a law on the books for companies who hire illegals and I think it is time to enforce it. This is 450 jobs that should have gone to American citizens. That's no small number and Hyundai needs to be penalized for it.
Unless Hyundai directly hired the illegals why would they be in trouble?
Do you know how many layers of contractors and subcontractors are involved in a project of this size?
The only thing Hyundai could possibly be dinged for is the language of the original contract(s) to build the facility.
And something tells me that any specific language saying that the contractors needed to exclude illegals could possibly be challenged in court by some Leftist operatives.
