So Trump plans to declare a national housing crisis, but I havent gotten any details about what he plans to do to help. Does anyone have any ideas in mind?
If he deports all 40+ million illegals, (including their anchor turds), the 'housing crisis' will resolve itself.
I think getting rid of the illegals may help a bunch, but not resolve it completely. I think there's other deep state infested trenches that must be cleansed in the housing market. Doesnt hurt to get rid of the illegals though

Would like to see local govs make policies that make is uncomfortable for big corporations to hold housing empty for very excessive periods (years) of time though. It's damaging to the local econ because its one less family in the area for each house.
There was a house for sale near me recently. 130 years old and in need of a lot of work. It was last sold for $39k in 1993 when the median income was $31k and average was $27.5k. The average 30 year fixed rate was a little over 7% in 1993 by the way, very similar to today. Today the average wage is reported at $62k but the house wasn't listed for $80k instead it was $210k. We need prices to come way down to get back to affordable houses. Interest rates could be 0 and it wouldn't make homes at these prices affordable.
Even if every illegal gets deported, it's unlikely to bring prices back to a reasonable level.
There's been a growing shortage of labor, and a lack of production, for way too long. This won't be a fast turn around however you look at it.
I've been in the trades my whole life and I'm hitting middle age. I'm at the point I don't want to do this anymore. Praying to God for help pivoting into another career path.
