I agree with most of what you said. I don't agree with your last sentence. Everything was finished at the cross. You can see that in Daniel 9:24 the seventy Sevens were decreed for the Jews to complete 6 things. One of them was to put an end to sin. On the surface we whould say that has not been complete therefore the bible is wrong.
In 2 corinthians 5:21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
It says that Jesus became sin not just take our sin upon Himself. He nailed sin to the cross.
We are the temple of the Holy Spirit. God is already with us. God "walked" on the earth in the garden. The garden was a temple. A temple is a place there heaven and earth touch.
God has already completed everything He promised to complete. We have to walk by faith but we have bought into the idea that we have to wait on God to finish what He has to do. In other words it is not our fault that God isn't finished with us yet.
I wonder if the Great Awakening is just that. We have been sleeping and God is waking us up to the truth. We by faith are already whole with God.
So you don't believe in the final judgment when Jesus returns to completely remove sin from the world entirely and death? When the wicked will be swept off of the earth just as in the days of noah? When we can walk with God in the same way that Adam and Eve were able to before sin entered the world?

Because that's what my last sentence meant.
