Forgive me if this sounds like its in bad taste or crass. I didn't particularly like the man (too pro Israel for me) but it's horrible what's happened to him and his family. HOWEVER, I try to look at most thinks objectively and not let my personal emotions get into it when I ponder and think about large events like this.

Here's my two cents on the topic, while trying to maintain that objective, not overly emotional viewpoint.

The left is dead. It's been on life support for a while now, but now its dead. That's clear to everyone who can read. They've been losing support for years now, and even their cheating wasn't doing it anymore in most places. But now they're dead.

They've lost ANY support they had from the middle ground. I'm not talking about conservatives or even moderate liberals. I'm talking about the apolitical independents who make up the OVERWHELMING majority of people. Let's be real, most people ARE apolitical and don't care about politics. They vote based on one or two issues every election and whoever fits their desires best regardless of party.

Those people are now absolutely disgusted with the left.

Looking at twitter, newsfeed comments, forums (beyond here) etc. Basically everywhere but reddit (which is a liberal shithole) the consensus is the same. Democrats are officially a terrorist organization in the same vein as a third world dictator. They've opened up the door to assassination culture when they tried to kill Trump multiple times, but thankfully if failed each time.

This time they succeeded, and I truly believe this is "the shot heard round the world" that will be the death of the democrat party. They have fully embraced political assassination as a legitimate means of dealing with opposition. And normal people will not tolerate this.

I of course don't KNOW this for certain, but I've seen and read many people calling for the DNC to be labeled a terrorist organization after this, and that MAY actually end up happening. It appears we're slowly drifting towards that anyway.

I've long said that we as a culture are rapidly swinging further and further to the right. And the longer this goes on, the more I'm convinced we may end up actually far right. Not as in a fourth reich type of sense, but in that the pendelum is gonna swing so far right that normal people will be radicalized in the exact opposite direction the cabal wants in order to achieve things that are currently uconstitutional. Like banning islam, mass deporting muslims regardless of citizenship status, banning gay propaganda, banning socialist and communist propaganda, etc.

Regardless of your personal feelings on this stuff, people are just tired of this crap. You can debate about Christian nationalism and theocracy all you want, both of those are up in the air as to whether we'd end up THAT far right. I'm PERSONALLY not opposed to it, but I can see how it would be a slippery slope in the OTHER direction, and why some wouldn't want it. Which is why I don't have a strong opinion on it.

But the point is this. The left has officially embraced political assassination as a legitimate means of dealing with political opposition. Combine that with DECADES of aggressive tension buildup over the gay and trans shit, religious and political persecution, stealing our wealth, actively trying to replace us with third worlders, and actively making the average person's life as miserable as possible, and well, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see where I'm going here.

The left is dead, and I highly suspect when this is over we'll have two "right wing" parties that are basically far right vs moderate right because of how far normal people have been pushed. What happened to Charlie is awful, but I legitimately wouldn't be surprised if this is the "shot heard round the world" that Q mentioned. We all thought it was Trump, but the amount of outrage, disgust, revilement, and call to action I'm seeing from NORMAL APOLITICAL people both online and IRL is honestly astounding and leads me to believe this is a turning point for society as a whole.

Historically speaking, political assassinations DO tend to signal some kind of turning point in whatever society they take place in. I'd imagine this will follow that trend
