You underestimate the power of propaganda these days.
Your parents are busy, you turn to other sources of entertainment and information (circle of friends, the Internet) and unfortunately the other sources are heavily flooded with cabal propaganda. And sometimes even recruitment messages (like in the case of Crooks in Butler, he seems to have been recruited as a pasty)
Ideally yes you want parents to be more conscious and more involved...but that's not always possible.
One of my daughters was a strong conservative, very pro-life, Christian, before she went to college at State University of New York - New Paltz. It only took two years there to turn her completely around! She even threatened to "cut me off" from my own grandson if I so much as mention anything having to do with vaccinations ever again.

One of my other daughters was already pretty rebellious, so going to the same college didn't really affect her :) The third daughter didn't go there, but did experience some of the usual college brainwashing.
This similar thing happened to my sister at a Christian college. There was a certain teacher we found out was teaching nonsense
Same thing ( university) happened to my daughter friend.. Iβm in literal shock of how horrible it is that we have no base to converse other than the weather . She used to tell her friends how thankful she was that her mom was smart enough not to put poison vaxx in her as a child.. . She got the covid jab and Iβm the nut now , im a brainwashed fool ! Hard to believe isnβt it ?
We can only pray that they snap out of it, but since they are constantly subjected to MSM propaganda, it will probably take a miracle.
I had a similar experience with my youngest daughter. I have two other children who are very conservative.
As I said, bad parenting....
If that's the qualification though, then most parents these days would fail.
Not just these days, more like the past 25-30 years or so.
That's why this country (world) is in the mess that were in.
Piss-poor parenting with absolutely no form of discipline....
