If we are to win this war we must be on a war-footing. One is not unhinged to be on a war-footing, nor is one defending his position fighting fire with fire being a hypocrite. You are not yet on a war footing and you are not destined to win if you are so so overly self-conscious you become frozen on the battle field and fail to engage the enemy because you're worried about hurting their "feeewings"

Grow up and spend more time in boot camp developing an effective warrior's mindset before you ever think of getting near the trenches. In the meantime, just don a apron in the mess hall and make sure the coffee is poured before it gets cold.
