The problem is what it will be replaced by. We're Americans, we want a choice when we vote. There may not be a Dem party but there will be a second choice under different leadership. One party rule isn't something we've ever liked. I don't say this to be against Q, I'm just saying that if the Dem party ceases to exist there will be another party cleaved out of the ashes, and to be fair Americans have never gone with the crowd. That kind of thought process makes most of us nervous, based on our shared history of defying singular rule. A one party America is no longer America.
Keeping true to my Confederate roots, fighting against federalism, I would find it hard to vote for a party that dominates our three branches of government. I don't care what banner they fly under.
IIRC, the Founders didn't want any parties -just candidates with their own platforms.
Hopefully it will be two parties who both put America First. That way the choice is between how Goals are accomplished instead of giant pendulum swings. Like how it has been way way back in the …….. wait I am sure there is a time period……… still looking. Like it has been perceived to be for a long period in America history
I wonder about this too. I know with what is going on with the Federal government, vs States Rights, I think there will be Federalists and Constitutionalists, Libertarians, Independents, and Liberals. I live in a so called Blue State because of our cities, but that is changing, we are more purple. But we also are fiercely autonomous and do not like government in our business, right wing or left wing. We are people of the land and live in a historic state that was last to join the Republic, we were our own Republic. I do not like a few things that are going on. I do not want to be labelled a terrorist because of something I will say against Israel, and I do not like the Federal Government buying stocks in private industry, like the NVIDIA deal. I do not like the Feds buying out farmers, because the small farms do not benefit. I have lived in a rural bubble paradise for a long time now, I prefer to stay that way. I do not like the government wanting health records, it is over reach to me. I do not want one party, like the Communist countries., or the Arab kingdoms. I want States rights, I want my rights. And I want Israel exposed. Some Repubs are so far up Israels rectum, someone should tell them that's not kosher.
