IMO the notion is completely disrespectful nonsense. It's insulting to the memory of Kirk, his family, and makes this board look bad when this type of garbage paytriot sophistry gets promoted here.
The counterargument is that patriots - who are in control and have told us we're watching a movie - are repeatedly putting key figures into a position to get shot and killed with lacking security, either out of incompetence or on purpose. That doesn't make sense either.
