Funny but sad story:
Last night a friend texted me telling me I'd better "Buy Vietnam Dong while you can!" (Now this story emerges...)
He wound up buying like $10k in Dong/Iraqi Dinar like a total schmuck because one of the dooshbags he listened to (like Jaco or Juan etc) convinced him that ALL currency ACROSS THE WORLD is going to be a 1:1 with USD. (But that's just crazy talk) Yes...it tis....
He didn't do any actual research on it - he just got sucked into the whole Gesara/Nesara fantasy that SO MANY ASSHOLES push and simpletons actually believe it!
Doing 5 min of research on buying dong/dinar yielded countless stories of soldiers that bought some while deployed because they were convinced it would trade higher (much higher) down the line ....they came out and basically said, "It's been 20 years & revaluing currency that was supposed to happen"next week and we'll all be rich " never came.
Others decided to get out of it and count their losses, thinking they'd lose a thousand on a $10k "investment " only to find out at the currency exchange that they were sold counterfeit currency, that had to be confiscated on the spot AND a couple gmen in dark suits had some questions for him down town...
