It is Paracetamol (acetaminophen) one needs to worry about. A pastor friend's wife had back surgery but the pain continued. She didn't want to take opiates so she took acetaminophen. Two years later she had to have a liver transplant. It failed and she died.

A classic symptom for me, is dry-heaving after taking something like that. Yeah - like within twenty minutes. IT mostly all come up, and then the body keeps trying, if you like.(BTW. I only take aspirin now, and that only once in a blue moon).
Normally I try coffee first, even on family members, on the theory that dehydration may be a factor. Plus coffee actually usually works too.
