I am not going to hold my breath. This was a bit of low hanging fruit because there was Congressional testimony that they can use to build a case. He is not being charged with any of the serious crimes he committed while head of the FBI. Not sure how solid their cases are for the others or what charges are possible to pursue. They had to move on Comey's case because of the statute of limitations was due to expire like you stated. The bigger fish we are looking for however, that is another issue. The Biden Administration had 4 years to bury and destroy additional evidence not addressed by the Trump traitors in his first term. That makes it extremely difficult to build legal chains of evidence to tighten the loop in order to get a conviction - especially in Federal Court.
We know these people are guilty as hell - but legally proving it beyond our own speculations is a different matter. Many of these cases that have not run out the statutes would have to be tried in DC where the crimes were likely committed. That is a huge bar to get over considering the makeup of the Court. Even in the Comey case, being tried in Virginia, I just found out today that a Democrat Biden appointee Federal Judge was just assigned to the case. So we will have to wait and see if it sticks.
As much as people want to see perp walks for these traitors, to go after these people without rock solid legal cases, it could end up backfiring on Trump and destroy any credibility going forward - not to mention tying up limited resources. This especially holds true for cases that could involve a charge of treason - an even higher bar. With so much on the line, Trump and company will move forward very carefully. Comey's case may simply be a test balloon to see if there is any hope of pursuing others on even more serious charges before committing finite resources on top of the other issues that are already of great priority for the administration - like trafficking, espionage, organized criminal networks, and active terror threats.
Even with Trump in office, there is not a magic wand wave that will set everything right. We are fighting a well intrenched beast that will not go away quietly. Those losing patience have little idea how difficult the whole process is. So yes, continue to pray that justice for the country will finally be served where we possess the capacity to actually do something. This is a spiritual war on several different fronts all at the same time.
Him and probably a few others as well.
Praying for this mac!
