Forgiveness and boundaries are different. Forgiveness and trust is different. Forgiveness and allowing someone into your life, your home, your circle, that's all different.
Forgiveness is letting go of anger, bitterness, and the idea of punishing them in your mind.
Forgiveness is allowing God to do his work without you worrying about the outcome. Whether God wants to redeem that person with that person comes to faith later on, whether that person never repents, it's no longer in your hands. You will not responsible for that person, in your imagination, nor in reality
I agree... it's easier for me now because I understand more fully that forgiveness doesn't mean you forget or approve of the transgression. It simply means you give it to God and He will handle it and God's Justice Is Eternal. ⚖️🔥
This is an ancient proverb ,often mistakenly attributed to Confucius:
Met a woman in Compassionate Friends whose son was murdered. After just a couple of years she had to show up for parole hearings to keep him in prison. This kept the anger constantly on the surface and she could not get on with anything else. After 10 years she figured out "let go and let God". Only then could she heal.
Correct. Forgiveness is meant for you, the forgiver, to let go. People misconstrue forgiveness as tolerating what others have done to them and as an encouragement for leniency in their wrongdoings, but that is further from the truth.
No homo, but I do like Tim Allen. He was a decent actor and an even better human being. Never give up, never surrender has become a bit of a personal motto for me these days.
Is this priming the public to "forgive" the entire medical death care system for murdering so many through COVID protocols? Or even deeper with their cancer protocols?
What if your father's murderer was a doctor? What's the difference really between being murdered in the hospital vs being murdered in the streets? Does God see a difference? I haven't been raised on the Bible so forgive my ignorance here.

Our Heavenly Father wants us to give everything to Him. Lay your burdens at the Cross. ☝️✝️✨
Praise be to God!
If Jesus forgives us we have to do the same!
Very touching. I, myself, am trying to forgive a couple of people. Doesn't mean I want them in my life though.
Its been said, I think correctly, that if you hate someone , that person owns you.

You said it much better than I. Agree and thank you.
