This all looks like police instigated this "fake manhunt" no military troops were involved. If the people wanted to see warrants, could they have demanded to see them and would the police have stopped? That is my specific question. The police can not and (more importantly) should not do this type of search. It may have bee a test to see what the police could get away with. And in this case, it was a lot of the people's rights being trampled.
And, an added question, do we know if anyone out of this sued and what the outcome was? It should have been a court win and much money awarded to them. Not that that makes up for the taking of the rights each individual has under the constitution.
