This is almost exactly the way I am thinking at the moment.
I haven't looked into the Erika side of it all yet so I can't comment on that.
One thing I'm not sure on at the moment is the seizure like movement at the time of the impact. I am wondering whether that's fakeable.

I guess with people knowledgeable about that instinct, you could train to fake it.
I just watched the Martensen video about all this and he claims the reaction was too fast to fake. Not sure I agree, I think it's possible to fake it if you are ready at that moment.
I guess actors do it in films.
