Could be... but here's the thing:
I'm a big fan of the idea of Divine Providence & Divine Intervention. The 2016 presidential election was good proof of that, no matter how we try to find "logical explanations" to explain it away.
The other thing is humanity itself... I don't know about you but... I don't think humanity could have made it this far all on their own. We were helped along the way.
Now I'm not real religious and try to keep my head out of the clouds with this stuff but this passage comes to mind and there are countless stories throughout history where things didn't go as planned with no logical explanation:
Isaiah 54:17
You don't have to be a bonified Christian or religious to know you're on the side of good and you're one of God's soldiers here in this battle against evil, holding his Light within you against the darkness.
Guns jam.... weapons misfire...mortars are duds...bombs don't go off..."UFOs" disable missiles... yanno?
