We travel as a retired couple in our RV. We stop at CB because most of them allow overnight parking. Years ago, in 2021, the food was amazing. Now we went from PA to AZ last week, got dinner one night at a stay over at one. I got boneless chicken breast that had the texture of a sponge. Bland mushy without any zest whatsoever. You could tell it was a frozen microwaved patty at best.
As far as the branding, we only saw some billboards with the new logo, didn't see any inside that were Joanna Gainesified inside. You know that bland make everything dull and boring look? Just didn't see that a any of the CBs we stayed at. Doesn't mean there still aren't some. The only reason we eat there now is out some feeling of duty for using the parking lot. Certainly not because the food is good anymore. One night we walked to Outback Steakhouse and brought it back to RV, screw 'em, the food sucks. The salad was the only redeermer.
Did not know about RV parking. I'm thinking about getting a used RV and roaming the "good" parts of the country. Sill a year + away from doing that - I'm gathering all the information I can about the lifestyle.
Cracker Barrels, some Loves have RV overnight. Some Loves even have RV full hookups overnight, $$ of course but only $60
Camping World mostly has overnight RV parking. You can get away with certain Wall Marts. We never pay as we travel for nights, you can always find something. Our Truck Camper is completely off grid with enough solar and DC to DC charging from the alternator our LiFePo batteries are always full.
The menu changes drove me away. Their food used to be so good.
Oh yeah, their food was very excellent before. I used to call them "comfort food?"
