I wonder if and how long have we been in continuity of government. Does/did that suspend constitutional rights?

I don't know the answer to either...

I'm just thankful the proverbial boat hasn't been rocked too hard so far.

Think about it...the electric grid, gas supply, gasoline/diesel, trucking, most infrastructure has been pretty solid - that's all due to COG.
