This movie is going to concern George Washington in the French and Indian War. One of the events is young Washington surrendering a fort near modern day Pittsburgh to the French. It was referenced at the end of the Season 2 Simpsons Episode "Bart Gets an F."
The final battle between the French and English for America took place in Newfoundland. The enormous expense of conquering/defending its overseas colonial empire during the 7 years/French Indian War led to the imposition of intolerable taxes`by the British causing the American Revolution.
I wish there would be more American historical movies like this. Educate the American public as to what our forefathers did to make this country great. Yet, we have to slog through stupid evil, vampire, and gross clown movies which "they" think we love. Oh well, when Hollywood goes bankrupt the small movie producers will be there to give the public what it yearns for. This looks like a very compelling movie to go and see. Maybe the producers will do a movie about Jefferson, Adams, or Madison, too.

The truth is that the Colonists just wanted representation in Parliament.
