Let's see, the 20204 total US Military payroll was around $192 Billion, so one month (1/12th) would be $16 Billion, give or take. So someone found $16 Billion to pay our military personnel... hmmm, interesting. I wonder if some wealthy and friendly nation like Saudi Arabia or Qatar footed the bill?
And when I say "friendly," I mean friendly to Pres. Trump. Biden or Obama could never have pulled that off. Nor would they have been interested in doing so.
I think DOGE took back a lot and it is sitting in a fund. Now it is being used.

That's most likely what is happening.
We have Trillions of dollars in Gold at Fort Knox and other places. And that does not count the gold we are storing for other nations. Trump 45~47 went to Fort Knox to make sure it was there. It must have been there because he not tweet that it was not there.
I would not have expected him to tweet that there was no gold there, it would rattle confidence in our already shaky currency. We still don't know for sure what's at Fort Knox.
The biggest line item is PROGRAMS, not PERSONNEL. In Earned Value Management you typically put 10-15% of a programs estimated budget into Management Reserve off the top
