That is an absolute lie. There is TONS of money in red states. MAD MONEY. We just dont talk about it or flaunt it like blue idiots.
Moving is good advice. Move away. Cost of living is typically 20%-50% of what it is in NY even in expensive areas.
Depending on occupation you can still command a high salary. If you say there is no money in flyover, if you are looking for DEI director or something equally stupid, yes, you are right. If you are talking real jobs, we have you covered.
But you have to consider the cost of living is so much less. I watched an episode of House Hunters at the nail salon today. They showed three 2 bedroom condos going for $3 mil in CA. Where I am you could get a 7 or 8 bedroom house with an actual yard and a pool for that.
My brother sold his 6 bedroom drop dead gorgeous house with pool on 1.5 acres for 1.2 mil a year ago.
So what when tje fovernment of nyc and ny state leave all your big buck in their pockets. I retired very comfortably from idaho at 60. Its not how much you make its how much they spend.
The "problem" with flyover states is ... there's no money there. (For the most part)
No industry. No jobs. No nuttin.
Places where there are those things are overpopulated now... and Californicators all over the place.

That's not totally true. I've been wanting to leave commiefornia for ages. I've looked at jobs with the same title.. I'd lose 25% or more

Prices get even worse when you apples to apples, as much as 10x the price compared to some areas.
A 25% drop in most cases is nothing
