TaQo, yes that's my recollection too and it seemed like immediately after that incident when you had to list your race on an official form (like at a gun shop, bank, hospital, etc.) there was this new weird term that popped up out of nowhere "White, non-Hispanic" that you then had to use to say you were White.
FYI the very first high profile "White Hispanic" was George Zimmerman.
They were trying to victimize trayvon martin.
