I have noticed that trying to put a useful categorization in front of a notice/byline doesn’t get the same clicks as adding a BREAKING does.
Seriously. It seems like there is some level of trigger/response training involved there that even anons are subject to. Probably me too, in spite of being aware of and poking fun at it.
Side note: I've noticed that I'm becoming even more and more nitpicky with headlines, blurbs, posts etc that. In short, my pedanticism seems to be becoming more .... intense. I find myself commenting more on posts that contain lame, rhetorical, 'spin' and fluff more and more.
Perhaps I'm just realizing how rare objective, open and honest conveyance of information actually is. Everyone seems to have an agenda.
Breaking: I may be coming down with inflamed informationitus. Sigh.
All I can think, constantly, is “we have but one mediator between God and man”, and none of us is the one sitting in that seat, probably for this precise reason. It’s close to impossible to not get to be attention seeking.
