I don’t know if it’s because it was a Friday or if people are making up for SNAP benefits being suspended, but this is the most adults I’ve ever seen trick or treating. I’m not even kidding, I go to my friend’s house to help give out candy and it was bananas how many people there were, the crazy part was how many grown people there were. I think college and high schools should still be a kid for a bit longer and enjoy trick or treating, but these were adults. 😆

as a kid my parents rule was that unless you were taking a younger kid tricker treating 13 was the cut off age.... after 13 it was stay at home hand out candy or go to Halloween parties but unless you were taking younger sibling out no tricker treating...
there are many spiritual sects that enthusiastically observe the day of the dead, and vigorously participate in oct31 festivities- especially halloween. all adults in costume. you would not be happy to learn what they're actually up to.

Yep. My last trick or treat night was when I was 12.
I did not mind if high school kids trick or treating as long as they were not wearing those full rubber masks that covered the entire head. I wouldn't answer the door for those because they could have been anybody and not neighborhood kids. I also never answered the door after 7PM for anyone.
This was the 4th year in a row nobody came to the door. I think people are too afraid to let their children trick or treat anymore.
I'm an adult now and its up to me to decide what that means. cries in eternal poor
<Pats on the head> there there
Probably collecting candy to recycle to people at their own house since they probably cant afford it.
Yeah, this year was weird. It's like everyone decided to take off today from work or school where I live. An absolute madhouse everywhere I went. Utterly ridiculous.
I went trick or treating with my grandbabies but I wasn't getting candy lol. I did scoop a couple pieces from my granddaughter's basket tho 🙈
It’s the candy tariff you are totally entitled to it!
I always thought it was creepy for adults without kids to trick or treat. Then, I stopped handing out candy about 25 years ago, and have not seen any more of them. This year I did not see a SINGLE trick or treater of any age, anywhere!!! Things are getting better!!
