This is a Bad idea, right now the filibuster is an annoyance with the shutdown crap. One day the democraps will be back in power and without the filibuster, they will be able to push through all their leftist agenda. I say no to removing the filibuster
If the Republicans don't get rid of the filibuster now and actually fix what can be fixed, the Dems will immediately do away with the filibuster when they (inevitably, via elections that remain rigged, regain control) and they will pack the court, do away with any hopes of free and fair elections, undo whatever PDJT has done to turn around the country, impeach PDJT yet again, and pursue a host of similar DS/evil bs.
It probably needs to happen, but I'm skeptical it will with the remaining RINOs in the Senate. Perhaps they're waiting on the SCOTUS ruling on tariffs. Should that ruling go against Trump, the RINOs would have the opportunity to lame duck Trump's agenda.

Trump likes to get bit in the ass so he can do the comeback kid thing. Problem is he won't be in office when the biting begins.
Bad idea.
It seems it's literally, "now or never".

I agree, BUT, whether or not Thune does it now, it's going to happen as soon as the Dems get a majority again.
Best they can do is hand power back to the Democrats instead.
