I'm wondering if they think Trump & his team will think they have no choice but to accept the dems delusional proposal to open the government, with all these judges demands, airport delays/cancelations and fed workers not getting paid.
What does that judge think will happen if Trump says to go fly a kite, he's not paying for snap? Does the judge think he can arrest a sitting President for not paying for snap benefits when there is no money to give them? Good luck with that!
I also heard an idea that trump is using the courts to give him control of the purse strings - in other words, it's not up to him to say what gets funded and what doesn't - but when they force him to send money to snap they're admitting that the president actually does have this power (to fund/cut funding) and that it's an executive branch function.
What this magistrate fails to comprehend is the States already have the funds in their bank accounts. Feds don’t pay SNAP funds until the States submit their accounting reports indicating they’ve paid out. It’s not automatic. It’s not even guaranteed.
The keeper of the gavel needs to focus on the State Comptroller to pay out first instead of jumping on the “Orangeman bad” train… JMO
Judge orders Trump administration to pay full SNAP benefits
U.S. District Judge John McConnell Jr. required officials to send the money to millions of food stamp recipients by Friday.

A federal judge in Rhode Island ordered the Trump administration to release full funding for November food stamps by Friday.
The oral order Thursday comes as nearly 42 million Americans have lost access to benefits under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program during the record-breaking government shutdown. The Trump administration previously agreed to pay for partial SNAP benefits using emergency money but said that doing so would result in weeks, if not months, of delays.
“Last weekend, SNAP benefits lapsed for the first time in our nation’s history. This is a problem that could have and should have been avoided,” said U.S. District Judge John McConnell Jr., an Obama appointee. The government “knew there would be a long delay in paying [partial] SNAP benefits and failed to consider the harms individuals who rely on those benefits would suffer.”
McConnell also noted that President Donald Trump’s post on social media that benefits wouldn’t be funded until the government reopened “stated his intent to defy the court order.”
In part, this is to let us know just how corrupt the judicial system is. Ignore the SC, make multi and National rulings when you are a judge in a small State, blah blah blah!
Didn't SCOTUS already rule that federal judges in the states can't rule on anything nationally? Why do they keep trying this?
It gets the useful idiots worked up.

They want him to take money from other programs.
