First, I wonder if Elon will incorporate into these robots Asimov's "Three Laws of Robotics"? If not, they might turn out to be mankind's worst enemy.
Second, as the world becomes more and more saturated with AI and automatons and people further distance themselves from fellow humans, how long before people dying in nursing homes will have no one at their side when they die except for a robot holding their hands?
I have to admire Elon's mad genius, but I have yet to own a Tesla or EV of any kind, and I don't want to have anything to do with robots.
Thank you, I can't believe we're the only ones here who read sci Fi. Even if we go back to being a high trust society and technology isn't being invariably used against us anymore I still see this as a negative for humanity.
Off topic but, does anyone have a good list of recent sci-fi that dos not lean so heavily on fantasy? It seems like everything I read now is so far from the foundations of sci-fi and always just goes to magic or some other cheap way of progressing a story.
EV’s are pretty fun…until you’re out of warranty and the battery needs replacing. If you don’t have an extra 10-20k laying around to get it fixed, your EV becomes a giant pile of junk, in a day.

Not recent. David Brin's startide rising and the uplift war are great but not super well known.
Thanks, I’ll check them out
Elon is very much aware of the 3 laws

Or spontaneously bursts into flames in your garage.
It's apparently an option.
Good, that makes more for me :)
You're welcome to mine, anon.
Ebwey robot needs a big switch on its back. Hardwired main power breaker.
