Per Grok: The TSA bonuses are coming from existing DHS carryover funds (money already appropriated by Congress in prior years that wasn’t spent), not from new taxpayer dollars taken out of the current budget.
It's hard for me to believe there's such a thing as funds that haven't been spent.
The government doesn't have money of its own... no matter what "funds" it was, it is OUR money. They got it from US. grrrrrrr... this just chaps my hide.
