It is NOT meant to be a way of life. If you're a single mom and you don't want to file for Child Support, because he'll get mad and stop giving you money off the books (and this is the normal response given to the Welfare office by all the Single Mothers), then YOU, the single mom, need to get a better or second job. It's not the job of the American taxpayers to take care of your kids!
Where on earth do you get your information?? Yes, some single mothers won’t file for support, but many do and don’t get it because the father is incarcerated or domestic relations can’t locate them. So now what do they do? Many work a job, even two, but if you’re on the lower IQ end, what kind of a better job do you want her to get? God gave me ability to be a great social worker, but my salary is not great and I live modestly. According to you I should just get a job that pays more, but God didn’t give me brains to program computers or be a doctor. Your blanket statements that ALL single mothers do this is just not true.
I get it from the fact that I work at the Welfare Office and I know firsthand all the bullshit lies that are told, which the Investigators prove are just that, lies.
The number of mothers that fall into your scenario.....the low IQ ones that can't get a better job are really, really small and far from normal. To even suggest that tells me that a "great" social worker would never even suggest that. Of course, a "great" social worker would think that women with children are low IQ.

They are not ignorant. I work at the Welfare Office. 80% of my caseload doesn't deserve the assistance they get because they are lying about their circumstances, which numerous investigations have proven.
The others that do get it don't get what they need or deserve (the disabled and elderly), but because we can actually verify their income because it is usually from the federal government, they get the smallest amount that is issued. Unlike the "single" mothers with four kids who claim she has no idea where baby daddy is (he is usually sitting in the other room) and claims that she can't file for support because he gives her "voluntary" support of $100 a month and if she does, he will get mad at her.
