I didn't say protesting in order to subvert the chain of command. I was talking about the legal way of removing the government. It is through your vote on election day. I never take part in protests and even try to shoot or otherwise harm the President of the United States other than at the ballot box.
Protesting is protected. Interfering physically, or attempting to subvert the chain of command is not.
