The first time I heard this was about 2 weeks ago. It was a golf instructor saying it. It's definitely true in the golf swing.
"Slow is smooth, smooth is fast", is also very applicable to how successful counter insurgency warfare is carried out.
Slowly and methodically strangling the enemy without them realising what is happening before it's too late to counteract!
