The myth of ‘jobs Americans won’t do’
Few slogans in American politics have been repeated as often—or accepted as readily—as the claim that “immigrants do the jobs Americans won’t do.” It is invoked to justify immigration policy, defend wage structures, and ...
Actually it's the employers who have been saving money hand over fist by getting away with paying those illegals less than what an American citizen would would/should expect for said jobs.
And that certainly applies to a helluva lot of farm owners out there....
Finally, someone gets it. Illegal immigrants have very little capital and political power. We aren't in this situation because they're stealing our jobs. They're being exploited, and it is the employers who are to blame. I'm so tired of people blaming all our issues on immigrants while ignoring the small percentage of people sucking up massive amounts of wealth.
The employers are simply responding to incentives on behalf of their shareholders. The government is to blame for creating the incentive by letting the illegals in and not utilizing tariffs properly.
The incentives that they themselves lobbied for.
I don’t care. We can solve the problem in two ways, and Trump is doing both. Chill out.
