I have a 2008 Toyota Camry Hybrid with a CVT. I bought the car with 42,000 miles back in 2010. The car has 361,000 miles on it now. I've pulled a 16ft flats boat and cargo trailer with it. No issues at all. I change the oil every 75,000 miles. Probably one of the most robust cars I've ever owned to include Diesels. But, I've driven other cars with CVT's. Nissan and Subaru can't seem to figure it out either. They just drive like garbage compared to ours IMO. Not selling it anytime soon either. No way would I buy car with a CVT from the big 3.

We're talking about CVTs. Not engines. One of these days I'll roll my eyes so hard I'll go blind.
Toyota's hybrid e-CVTs use planetary gears and aren't comparable to the belt or chain driven standard CVTs.
