Remember misdirection.
Not everything you read is meant for us... but sometimes meant for the still asleep or indoctrinated population to hear.
If someone is watching MSNBC... they are obviously not well informed. We want them to think of the uniformed military as their protector, not as an adversary.
When it doesn't work out like they thought... well... by that point things have already progressed to a conclusion.
