It just finally went OTC today in Texas. They are treating it like real Sudafed where it is kept behind the counter and you probably have to show ID to get it. That also means there will be a log somewhere on who bought what quantities and how often.
I just asked Grok about it. It turns out that Texas allows pharmacies to dispense Ivermectin without a prescription, but it doesn't mandate it - it is at their discretion. Now I'm pissed. The Texas Board of Pharmacies is against Ivermectin and I think they are going to issue procedures to the pharmacies telling them not to distribute it without a prescription.
I do know local non-chain pharmacies will dispense it. I saw a local tv news article online that interviewed a local pharmacy owner who said they will keep it behind the counter and sell it. I bet the compounding pharmacies will do the same.
