This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.

Stranger Things 5 semi-spoiler:
The plot line has devolved into a metaphor of the homosexual “gift” of HIV/ AIDS. The whole revision/ retcon in Season 4 was bad enough, but the season 5’s special treatment of homosexual character Will is getting atrocious. It also ignores the fact that in season 1 Will was simply subjected to the same treatment that happened to Barb shortly before and he would’ve died like she did if not for his mom Joyce and Hopper saving Will at the last second and resuscitating him. There was no Vecna at the time with grand plans for magically gay Will. Will would’ve just died if not for his mom’s intervention. Season 3 was over-the-top but still fun. Seasons 4 & 5 reinvented the wheel and they suck and don’t make sense.
So glad I don't know what any of that means!
I gave up after season 2 when, like most Scifi that has exhausted the creaters original basic idea for the story, starts filling the plot with things that make no sense.
