The Right Co-opts Pop culture. Usually because the ‘Media literacy’ crowd are incompetent. Sometimes they very much unintentionally end up creating super based content. As the message they intended versus the one that’s actually communicated is dramatically different. Starship Troopers as one example.
The real irony is the Right largely abandoned Art schools, and the creative fields. And for the most part the creative industries are fairly liberal. Yet they still somehow periodically blunder into accidentally creating right-wing media.
If the Western Right made serious efforts to contest the lefts dominance of the Wests creative sphere. Instead of relying on Anime and the isolated holdouts in the creative sphere. The Leftists would probably be in for issues.
Granted that would necessitate actually keeping the story as the primary focus. Rather than politics or Religion. Something the Right can be just as susceptible to as the Left.
