It's not JUST that...

Stealing those frozen assets equates to ill gotten gains via the banking system.

If they move forward and steal those funds out of escrow, it could cause worldwide financial panic, as other countries ponder:

If they did that to Russia... How long before they do it to us??!!

That'd be one hell of a rug pull...
