What in the world is so threatening about John 3:16? All it talks about is God loving the world so much that he sent his son to earth so we don't perish.

It seems to threaten Mormons, as they say on their official website that they believe that Satan and Jesus are brothers. That would negate the "only begotten son" part of the verse.

Atheists hate all the verses in the Bible, even though the ones dealing with facts are provably correct.
