Some parasites are believed to cause some cancers. I believe there is a parasite in Africa that causes bladder cancer

SE Asia has a river fluke that causes liver cancer. I think that's what got my pops a while back. He did time there during Nam. Wish I would've known then what I know now he may still be with us. 😔
