I don't think they aren't "on our side." Mistakes happen and some things get through, sometimes it's purely for discussion, and sometimes it's because it's so blatantly retarded that a mod will sticky it just to bring awareness or drag op. Although the sticky to drag hasn't happened in a while that I've seen.
It's been a long time ago but a mod did say that in the thread, that's why it was stickied.
I'm not sure that mods research every post before a sticky, that would take forever. It's our job to do that. They sticky stuff that is worthy of looking into, whichever way the research goes from there. It's about putting eyes on it and letting Anons do their thing.
