The genpop there don't seem to care about legit Trump news any more. It gets little traction and other more distracting things that don't move the needle get traction

Idk when but within the last year they (MODS) have really started allowing allot of junk in. I just keep seeing a bunch of YouTube videos about shit that has nothing to do with anything that is going on here.

I think it's because activity has dropped off sharply in the past year. Visits to the site are only a fraction of what they used to be, and that can be confirmed with any analytics service. Or you can just go back and look at posts from a couple years ago and compare them to posts today.
I'm not sure if it's just my account and it's just a glitch, but I can no longer click on the "top" category up there with "Hot, New, Rising, Top". Before, I was able to click on "Top" and then "This month" or "All Time" and it would show the posts with the most activity. If you can still do that, it's a real eye opener to how much activity has cooled off here. I think it's the reverse of the frog in a pot of boiling water. It's a frog in an ice cube tray and it's just a long slow process of less and less activity, so gradual most people don't notice it.
Even just a year or so ago, it was common to have dozens of posts each day with upwards of a hundred comments on it.
Now, I think we're lucky to get 5 or so in a week.
So I think the mods are much more tolerant of off topic/low effort/low quality posts because otherwise, there would be hardly any interaction here. I guess crap is better than nothing. 🤷♀️
That being said, there still are some people out there putting up quality content and I'm thankful that they are and appreciate the time and effort they take in doing something other than reposting whatever crap they last saw in their X feed with no care in the world if its true or even relevant to the board. It's like people think they have some sort of post quota they have to fill and it doesn't matter what they post as long as it's something and they'll repost any old thing to fill that quota.

I warned them about this last year. They were so ban-happy and trying soo hard not to let GAW be anything like 8chan. They pissed off most of the high effort anons with stupid bans for stupid shit and they just left over time. The amount of high effort who rage-quit GAW because of heavy handed, often arbitrary bans is probably several dozen of our best anons, love em or hate em, they were the life blood of GAW. Now we are sustained by a handful of high effort and the rest just post whatever off X and YT.

Voat was the pinnacle of non-chan digs. They should study how Voat was run and emulate it if there is to be a future for GAW. I have irl things going on and working on some other projects atm so it's hard to stay as active here. Godbless o7 to the real 1's who still participate.
Yeah, I really cut back on the time I spend here because I kept catching 1 and 3 day bans because I dared to upset their "stars" here, pointing out just glaringly obvious errors in their posts.

If you want to increase the quality in GAW, begin by posting high quality posts and notifying the Mod team of a sticky request.
I am always on the lookout for high class research and theory crafting related to Q. I get excited when I see Anons digging into new rabbit holes.
