There are 5 stages of grief. Denial, "what if" guilt stage, anger, depression, and acceptance. Not necessarily in that order. But Erika seems to have gone right to the acceptance stage immediately. Forgiveness is something you must work up to as well. Even as a devout Christian knowing God would want you to forgive, you cannot immediately get to that stage without much prayer and letting God work on your emotions. I don't like the fact that she immediately said she forgave Charlie's killer. She should have said in time and with God's help I will hope to forgive. At first, there is hatred for that person that must be handled and not allowed to take hold of your life. To forgive and let go of hatred is healing for yourself. I'm not an Erika fan.
