I have a new term for this mentality; and as a planeflag and a datefag I feel privileged to introduce it:

The "resultsfag" - noun, adj;

A person who complains about not seeing results from an investigation, study or inquiry that they do NOT contribute to, who then influences others to believe there isn't substantial progress in its effort.

Their motive is usually social acceptance, engagement farming, and/or manipulation rather than genuine concern. This mindset originates around a preconceived solution or outcome of the matter in question that satisfies their ego, rather than the most effective and conclusive one.
