Everyone can be captured. There has only been one perfect person on this planet and he died 2,000 years ago. The Jews lied and got the Romans to execute him. We're all human. We're all imperfect. If you apply enough pressure, even the best men can be moved. Take a good man, threaten his family, hold his nation hostage. There are ways to do it.

This is a core message that we have to understand. Our Founders understood it which is why we had power split among 3 separate branches with a spider's web of checks and balances to keep any one of them from acquiring too much power.

Something they didn't count on was the rise of the institutional bureaucracy of federal employees and contractors as a "4th branch" of government, and the ability of major multinational corporations to totally take over the private sector. They would surely have been familiar with the British East India Company, but they never thought every freaking good or service made worldwide would be made by such companies, and how much power they'd wield.

Anyway, back on topic. Results matter. Kash hasn't produced enough of them. Perhaps he's been stymied by the bureaucracy. Maybe someone exercised some leverage on him. Who knows? Bongino's so frustrated he just quit. Bondi's not up to the job of renovating the DoJ. At some point, we have to consider changing these people out to try and get progress made. Teams keep backup pitchers in baseball and backup quarterbacks for a reason. Give up too many runs. Throw too many interceptions and coach needs to pull his starters out and let someone else take over.
