I think it had more to do with the fact that majority of it was redacted and people have lost hope in any chance of credibility within our Justice department.
It's just to wake the govlovers up. Until now, for them when the feds release documents that are mostly redactions they just laughed it off and said 'oh you silly conspiracy theorists.' now it's real and the Overton window creeps more rightward again.
