B: But we'll get caught, humiliated and imprisoned, maybe even executed

A: No we won't - all you have to do is commit a crime so shockingly atrocious, so unspeakable, no one will ever believe a human could do it, so they'll ridicule instead the accusers; and be sure all the evidence is so inconceivably gruesome and horrific, it will psychologically destroy anyone who sees it, so it will never be viewed by any court or jury. Easy win - been going on for centuries with absolutely zero repercussions, no need to worry about it now
