The comment, made nine days before the U.S. invasion of Iraq, expressed the band’s opposition to the impending war and their embarrassment that President George W. Bush was from their home state of Texas."
So Americans were pissed at the Chicks for speaking down on Baby Bush. Now, twenty two years later after finding out how evil he really was it seems the Chicks were correct in their disapproval. I think folks need to reevaluate their disdain for the Chicks. They were speaking truth to power and the media made a big deal out of it in order to protect Bush.

They changed their name to "Chicks" because Dixie is associated with slavery and racism and favored George Floyd and the BLM movement... plus they hate Trump. Woke middle aged democrat women, the biggest culprits trashing society. They can fuck off.
Dixie is only associated with slavery in the minds of the ignorant who don't know that the northern states used to have slaves too. You can check the old census records, if you don't believe me.
BLM was formed by a Jewish domestic terrorist pardoned by Bill Clinton, George Floyd was a convicted felon and overdosed on fentynal, the first slave owner was black, the majority of slave owners were Jewish and every single ship that brought them here was Jewish owned. The Confederacy was fighting more to keep state rights than slavery.
The Dixie Chicks have very ignorant minds.
