There needs to be a ONE STRIKE RULE. Here is the "Be on your best behavior" rule
If more than 50 people from ONE country are charged for a coordinated (conspiracy) white or brown collar crime within a year, OR if more than 50 people have committed crimes on this list (1) murder, 2) gangrape, 3) WMDs, including fentanyl, 4) kidnapping/trafficking) then that country is BANNED FROM ENTRY for the next 10 yrs.
People from that country who are naturalized can come and go
People from that country that are lawfully engaged in green card paperwork can come and go
NO NEW PEOPLE can come and go. Not even meemaws and pawpaws from their country. They have to STAY. Their kids can visit. Or not.
Not a fan of collective punishment at all. However, in this situation, I don't see why we even let these people in to begin with, it never should have happened in the first place. I get where you are coming from though, and maybe that really is the most practical solution. I think we honestly just need to put a moratorium on any immigration period, for at least the next decade.
