Absolutely, I think it'll be no time at all before a few strongly worded letters are delivered and Keith Ellison puts Nick Sorter in jail.

That'll show them doubting Thomas's.

Not dooming, just commenting on the most likely outcomes. The skinnys will carry on stealing and Nick needs security for the rest of his life.
