Does ANY taxpayer money go to legitimate causes, to actually help the needy?!?
This is the nexus of government funded programs "to help people" they are fraud and money laundering.
Charity to help needy people should NEVER be funded by taxpayers! But by donors. And individuals volunteering at private shelters, private food banks, private charities.
Anonymous government checks give recipients a feeling of entitlement. They need to look the donors in the eyes and say thank you. That is Christian charity.
I'd like to think so, but the reoccurring theme is that people are earning an honest salary working for a nonprofit, yet the expenses of that business and the land are tax exempt. That's my problem with it, because the common man isn't afforded that same right, and even worse is that the common man pays a tax on the land he uses for no purpose of business.

Income tax is collected by threatening violence against workers. Using violence for “charity” is crazy from the start.

OH MY you nailed it! The non-profits do not pay income or property taxes, while stealing from the taxpayers who DO!
It is a SCAM from the begging, through the middle, to the end. Yes, we should start using the term slaves, for taxpayers.
